Every time I see Cloutchaser play (roughly every 8-12 months depending on tours) I think "there is no way this band can get any better". I have been proven wrong on three separate occasions at this point and frankly I'm scared of what these guys are capable of. If you've been lucky enough to see Brady and Cam live you already know that they're a spectacle - truly two freaks of nature leaving nothing left on stage.
I have scanned the room at their shows to see people wide eyed & mouth agape, practically drooling. I have felt my brain turn off and gone into "monkey mode" during their set - unable to comprehend what's happening, yet still bearing a shit eating grin and screaming at the top of my lungs.
SPONGEBOB is special for many reasons. Most importantly being that it finds the band in top form: super strong melodic moments, catchy memorable hooks, ridiculous playing, strong musical purpose and intension, all while carrying the memeable charm of their older material. The band did everything in their power to push their music and this genre forward and it truly shows.
Second most importantly, it is this labels' 69th release - which is the funny number haha
