First full length from San Diego based trio Band Argument.
It’s hard to really quantify Band Argument’s sound; there are so many important “moments” that define them on this album and most of them are different than the ones before them. I really love this record, and I love how each track brings something new to the table.
On “if the accident will”, Band Argument seamlessly weaves between experimental pop, dancy angular math rock, catchy indie, aggro-psychedelic instrumental, and so much more. Performance wise the band brings it - angular riffs, experimental chords, complex linear grooves, locked in bass that drive the songs- all smoothed out with catchy indie-pop style vocals.
I have a ton of respect for a band that can pull off being a 3 piece. I think a lot of this record was tracked live too, it would almost be impossible for it not to have been. Hope you dig it <3
